Patient with metastatic prostate cancer locally invading into his bladder/trigone and overtaking the ureteral orifices and causing him to go into urinary retention. Transurethral resection performed to improve his quality of life and get him tube free. Methylene blue was injected down right nephrostomy tube and then we performed a transurethral resection (TUR) in the area we suspected the ureteral orifice to be from the antegrade nephrostogram. TUR wad done until we saw efflux of blue dye. Double-J ureteral stent placed after resection to keep area patent. Huge improvement in quality of life in this patient with metastatic prostate cancer!
