Here are four Cinebox shorts (16mm films used in 1960s visual juke boxes) - these are slightly out of sync and with picture reversed when run on a normal 16mm projector - sorry! The titles are: "Sippin' Cider Beside Her"; "Creole Jazz"; "Gotta See Baby Tonight"; "In A Persian Market" Sadly Acker Bilk MBE died on Sunday 2nd November aged 85 - a sad loss to the UK trad jazz scene and a really lovely guy! (These clips are from 1960/1962 'Cinebox' visual juke box 16mm film 100ft shorts - the company went into receivership soon after, so I assumed the copyright had lapsed - seems Studio Canal are claiming they now own this copyright - they certainly own the rights to their DVD release of "It's All Over Town" (recommended by the way if you like 1960s 'pop' music!), and I now see that the first item is from that film - so to see Acker get that DVD ! - anyhow, hopefully I have acknowledged their copyright and maybe all is well now - thanks in anticipation Studio Canal ! ) For more information on visual juke boxes ('soundies' and Cinebox/Scopitone) :- http://www.pathefilm.uk/95flmart/95so...
