Intro to Heraldry: Part III - Beyond the shield

Part 3 of an introductory series to heraldry. In this video, we look at the parts of a heraldic achievement beyond the shield, such as crests, mantling, supporters, helmets, and the like. We go into how different elements originated, and we even blazon a few armorial achievements from the ground up. In previous videos we covered the historical origin and purpose of heraldry, we looked at many different kinds of charges, and we got into the nuts-and-bolts regarding how the blazon works.
