Samurai Joinery Workshop Build - Episode 1

This video documents the first stage of the Samurai Workshop build. Over the course of this episode, I work through enclosing the shed with wall and roof sheeting, installing insulation, fitting the side door and starting the internal fit-out with a stud wall designed to support future cabinetry and work benches. The workshop is being built gradually alongside my normal day job, using the time available outside work hours. Rather than rushing the build, the focus is on creating a functional, organised space that supports furniture making and long-term use. This shed is intended to become the home of Samurai Joinery - a space for designing and building custom furniture and joinery with Japanese influence, where layout, workflow and fixed infrastructure are planned deliberately from the start. The build is approached methodically, explaining decisions as they're made and showing the process as it happens, including working with my Dad on stages involving steel work and roofing. Future videos will cover the internal fit-out, cabinetry, bench construction, layout planning and eventually the first furniture builds in the space.
