The first single from the brand new "Nada Tropical", the band's third album, features the legendary maestro Arthur Verocai in the string arrangements. Lucas Moura, creator, singer and songwriter of Glue Trip, invited the maestro after auditioning the album with music producer Zé Nigro. “We were listening to the album when Zé commented that 'Lazy Dayz' should feature Verocai. As a musician and fan, this idea didn't get out of my head until I decided to get in touch very unpretentiously with him. Imagine the surprise when his team replied that the legendary Verocai would love to participate at our project”, says Lucas. With the agreement of the arranger, the two flew to Rio de Janeiro in order to closely follow the recording. It was nothing less than a 12-piece orchestra led by Arthur Verocai. The maestro added subtlety and intensity with his string arrangements, enriching the band's cauldron of references and matching the atmosphere that only exists in the Glue Trip universe. “When I arrived at the recording studio in Rio, I was very curious to see Verocai. When he entered, his aura entered with it. He carried the scores under his arm to distribute among the musicians and I noticed a curious detail: he named the scores with the word Hope and not with the original name of the song. At that moment I realized that he used a feeling to translate his ideas and that changed my life”, says Lucas. Created in the midst of social isolation, “Lazy Days” seeks precisely to express the feeling of hope in the middle of chaos. It's an upbeat and intimate song. Arthur Verocai is best know for his 1974 precious album and has featured with many artists recently such as BadBadNotGood, Frank Ocean, Tyler the Creator, Hiatus Kayote and now Glue Trip. The single was recorded in June 2021 at YB studios, in São Paulo, by the Matraca Records label. Invited by Lucas, the musicians João Boaventura, Pedro Lacerda and Thiago Leal joined the project to create and record “Nada Tropical”. The musical production was in charge of producer Zé Nigro and Lucas Moura. The cover art was created by designer Bruno Borges, a longtime partner who also signs the covers of Glue Trip's previous albums.
