Stampscapes Live: Trying Saturated Tones on Thin Wood Grain Paper

I’ve found that using StazOn solvent ink gives me the best impressions on this printed wood grain paper. The printers ink kind of seals off the surface and makes it less porous so the surface oriented StazOn does a good job. But, if I want to color my imagery with alcohol inks, we can’t do that with solvent imagery as the alcohol will smear the solvent ink. So, I’m going to try a work around by stamping in water based ink first, coloring, and then re-stamping with the StazOn over the top. In theory, it seems like it could work but I’m never sure until I try.
