Join us for an empowering conversation about leading a budget process. This workshop will offer an opportunity to learn about and discuss collaborative budgeting and how sharing responsibility for budget development among staff, leadership, and Board members can: ● Be empowering ● Inspire creative, well-rounded, and responsible decision-making (especially during challenging times) ● Enhance organizational and individual wellbeing through greater trust and understanding In this workshop participants will learn: ● How to create a more collaborative budget process ● Why it can be helpful to utilize the budget process to build shared responsibility for organizational health ● Ways to create space for real conversations about organizational finance that build individual and organizational capacity and empowering. About the Presenters Jackie Cefola Since 2011, Jackie has worked as a consultant to nonprofit leaders, specializing in the business development of collaborative services, spaces, and strategies. She is fortunate to work with many clients over multiple years of service, in some cases over multiple startups. She holds an MBA with focus on operations and strategy. Andrea Shapiro Andrea is inspired by collaborating with organizations and leaders to build and create equity, justice, andcommunity. With more than 30 years experience as a nonprofit staff member, leader, and advisor, combined with an AB in psychology and an MBA with a finance concentration, Andrea makes financial management accessible Nonprofit Net of Greater Boston Nonprofit Net advances Greater Boston's nonprofit community through free expert-led management seminars and networking forums. Our programming supports local nonprofit teams in building expertise and fostering valuable connections.
