Practically, neuroethics addresses the ethical considerations surrounding developing technologies like implanted medical devices, wearable technologies, and Brain-Computer Interfaces (BCIs), especially as they relate to direct-to-consumer health technology, or systems for augmented and virtual reality. Rather than being merely a source of constraining compliance or "red tape," experts suggest that neuroethics should be viewed as a problem-solving tool that enhances innovation and creativity within the neurotechnology space.
