Jailbreaking your device using Chimera is a very simple process; all you need is a computer (doesn't matter what kind of computer), Lightning cable, and your device. The steps below will give you a detailed outline on how to download, install, and jailbreak your device. 1. Download the newest version of Chimera https://chimera.sh/ 2. Download the newest version of Cydia Impactor http://www.cydiaimpactor.com/ 3. Open Cydia Impactor on your computer and then plug your device into your computer (Impactor should recognize the device). 4. Drag and drop the downloaded IPA from Chimera's website. Cydia Impactor will prompt you to enter in your Apple ID and password. Enter the required information and press Enter. 4.A If Impactor says your password is incorrect but you know you typed it in correctly, it means that you have 2 Factor Authentication turned on for your Apple ID and you need to type in an "app-specific password". To get an app-specific password, go to https://appleid.apple.com/ and sign in. After you sign in, find where it says "Generate Password..." and click on that. Give it a fancy name and after that, you will be presented with a bunch of random letters. Copy that into Impactor and you are good to go. 5. Impactor will start to load the app onto your device. 6. Once done, you can unplug your device and open the newly installed Chimera app. 7. If you get an error along the lines of "Unverified Developer" go to Settings, General, Profile and Device Management. Select your email address and tap Trust. You will now be able to open the app. 8. Open the app and press "Jailbreak". If the the app says Installing Cydia, that means the exploit has succeeded and your device will reboot. If the device reboots before it says Installing Cydia, then the exploit has failed. Open the app again and keep trying until you see the spinning wheel. 9. Once your device reboots for the first time, open the Chimera app and hit Enable Jailbreak. 10.Once you get past Please Wait (2/3) and see the spinning wheel, the exploits have succeeded.
