Thanks for watching my video. This is a series here on youtube that "My Stoner Mind" channel has, so I joined, this is my third attempt :) The 2-way speaker is a very old closed speaker from '80s or very early '90s. The brand and model name / number is not readable on it's label, but it contains a Westra KW-160 1338 - 6.5 inch 50 Watts RMS / 8 Ohms midwoofer, and a Tesla ARV 168 - 5 Watts RMS / 8 Ohms tweeter. Also I repaired it's crossover by replacing the capacitors using modern foil capacitors + I re-sealed properly the enclosure's internal edges and corners + re-glued properly the acoustic wool + replaced the bad screws which are holding the drivers in their positions. Amp I use for this is an old Sony XM-222MK2 car amp which is powered with a power supply made of an old PC power supply which gives 20+ amperes on +12 Volts. The subwoofer is a Koda SW-850 - 8 inch 60 Watts RMS active subwoofer. It is connected to the Sony amp's speaker outputs using the sub's high level imputs. The port extension is approx. 11 inch long with internal diameter like 2.5 inch. The sponge on the one ending is a basic flare to reduce the port noise. It lowers the sub's tuning frequency, so when I stuck it inside the sub's original port, the low frequencies are sounding more clear, more balanced and slightly louder + less port noise + less flex at low frequencies, so the driver not bottoms out + higher flex on the higher frequencies, but the driver not bottoms out at these frequencies too. The main reason why I showed in this way what does the port extension with this sub, because without this port extension it have disturbing port noise, because - I dont undersand why the hell - the transformer is originally mounted inside the box next to the original port's internal ending... I gonna remount it somewhere else somehow soon... It is decently loud, even the 2-way speaker without the subwoofer is very bassy using an EQ app what I downloaded / installed by following this video: • Installing Equalizer APO and PC Equalizer ... - links are in this video's description. My sound settings on my PC when I recorded the video: on soundcard: 24 bit + 192000 Hz sampling frequency, on EQ: "User - 04" EQ preset + "Noise Reduction" multi-delay preset + "Process" effects turned off.
