This horn seems like a cost effective move, as of now they fetch around $500 (since it is an older model). I used a Holton Farkas MC mouthpiece with an adapter. I really dig the tone of this thing! It can take a lot of air as well. Little difficult to play up high, but the middle register is butter. Quality and feel in the hands was great as well, the horn did not feel cheap. Some intonation issues, but a solid player could easily manipulate the instrument in tune. Side note, the 450L is simply the lacquered version.
