Beinn Mheadhoin & Derry Cairngorm: A Wild Camping Adventure

We parked at Linn of Dee and walked the 3 or 4 miles to a camp spot close to Bob Scott's Bothy near Derry Lodge arriving just before dark. The midges were awful and we took advantage of cooking in the bothy. After a midge infested night we set off to climb Derry Cairngorm and on to Beinn Mheadhoin. The weather was hot and sunny and it was a long day in the hills especially the never ending walk down the glen. After returning to camp and taking the tent down, we headed back to the van at Linn of Dee. Another great adventure. My videos are not intended to be an exact guide to any hill, mountain or low level walk that features in the video. I don’t cover every aspect of the route, terrain or difficulties.
