A Residential Tower Reaches New Heights Among Upper Manhattan's Historic Gothic Architecture

Get an inside look with the architects who designed Claremont Hall in Manhattan's Morningside Heights neighborhood. At 40-stories and 300,000 square feet, Claremont Hall is a residential, mixed-use building that offers 164 condominium apartments and 29 faculty housing apartments. On a unique site within the Union Theological Seminary, Claremont Hall is positioned in a neighborhood of academic campuses and significant architecture. The building references the rich architectural details of the existing campus, which consists of grey schist stone with limestone detailing. The tower’s façade of blended grey brick is trimmed with limestone colored architectural pre-cast.
