Better late than never. The EVGA SR-3 DARK or the Super Record 3 DARK is finally arriving at retail market. I managed to get my hands on one of these boards with a binned 28 Core Xeon 3175X already installed in the socket, and on this video we will take a closer look at the motherboard and see what kind of features it has. The board is actually much more compact than most of the competitor boards from other vendors. It is only around 10 cm wider than your standard ATX motherboard, but not any longer than that, so it can fit a much larger number of cases than most of these big LGA3647 motherboards. This also means that there is less room for the VRM components on the motherboard, so it has been built in a much more compact way, using stronger power stages but a smaller number of power stages power per phase compared to some other high-end models. The included water block is very unique, and quite relevant if you run AVX512 loads for long periods of time with the CPU overclocked. All in all, the motherboard looks kinda unique with only one memory slot per channel, and with the rotated socket. Only one minus for my use is the lack of PS2 keyboard port at the rear IO.
