Dealing with criticism - why I don’t care about being unique | Slow Living in English Countryside

How I deal with criticism online, why I don't try to be unique and how I deal with comparison - all these thoughts came over a chocolate chip baking session. :) My January has been slow, thoughtful and full of reflections. I've been dealing with a lot of personal anxieties, searching for resolutions and learning to be patient with myself and my life. I wanted to share a few thoughts that came to me recently. Does any of this resonate with you? ________ Maple tahini chocolate chip cookies (yields 11 cookies): 190g plain flour 90g softened butter 50g white tahini paste 60 g maple syrup 60g light brown sugar 1 egg 1/2 tsp baking soda Walnuts Chocolate Mix together butter with sugar, then add tahini, maple syrup and egg and whisk well. Add flour and baking soda, mix. Chop 75g of dark chocolate and a handful of walnuts (you can also use chocolate chips, but I like large chocolate chunks more). Add to the dough. Let the cookie dough rest in the fridge for 15 minutes before baking. Shape your cookies, place them well apart on a lined baking tray and bake for 11 minutes at 200C/ 390F. Let them cool down on the baking sheet for 5 minutes then transfer to the cooling rack.
