Home of Celina and Alec van Dierendonck and their young family, the house's interiors exude a warmth and coziness. Originally planned as a concrete structure, the couple was seduced by bamboo's qualities when during the pandemic they attended a workshop at Bamboo Bootcamp in Davao. The plans of the home were converted into bamboo using over 5,000 bamboo poles and now stands as one of the tallest homes made of the material in the Philippines at 11 meters high. "How do you want to move around the space?" was interior curator and design consultant Carol Karthe's first question to the couple when designing the home. Karthe made sure that the home gave way and respected the surrounding trees and the "morphology of the ground" as it disappears among the forest of coconut trees.
