Jamaica & New York Penn Railfanning (3/6/25) (Long Island Railroad, New Jersey Transit & Amtrak)

Avelia Liberty Strikes Again! On March 6th, 2025, I met up with a close friend to railfan the Long Island Railroad at Jamaica Station. The day began with the usual activity: within 30 minutes, we saw the M3, M7, M9, and a DE30AC arriving at the station. Shortly after, the TC82 inspection car made an eastbound appearance. As it departed, we caught the LIRR ENG2STY equipment move heading west, pulling a DE30AC locomotive. The locomotive pulling the DE30 was a EMD MP15AC #163. Our time at Jamaica Station was cut short when we got word about the Avelia Liberty trainset #14 (2141 & 2104) making its way to New York Penn station and continuing west along the Northeast Corridor, following Amtrak Northeast Regional #85. Additionally, we heard that Amtrak Northeast Regional #184 was carrying a Phase VII Amfleet II #25003. As a familiar sight in many of my videos, ACS-64 #642 Veterans also made an appearance, terminating at New York Penn after running the A-79 Carolinian and returning to New York as Northeast Regional #134.
