During his speech, CM Mann said he had earlier told the Speaker to lock the Assembly from inside. He also took a direct dig at opposition leader Partap Singh Bajwa, claiming Bajwa delivered his remarks and left the House within minutes. The Chief Minister further stated that the opposition may face a similar situation in the next Assembly session as well. The comments sparked reactions and added to the ongoing political tension inside the House.
