About Dr Balwant Dixit Collection: Dr Balwant Dixit (Pittsburgh, USA) was an Emeritus Professor of Pharmacology (University of Pittsburgh). He actively promoted Indian Art Music and other Indian Performing Arts throughout the USA and Canada. Dr Dixit was the founding Director of the Centre for the Performing Arts of India, a component of the University Centre for International Studies. In 2022, Dr Dixit donated a huge personal music collection (cassettes, CDs, LPs, and books) to ADRA. Most of these are live concert recordings organized in the USA. After digitizing and editing this audio material from various formats, we are making this treasure available to worldwide listeners.
