2010 Honda Insight Car Stereo Replacement

We have owned this 2010 Honda Insight for over 10 years and I always hesitated to replace the stereo because of how the original is installed. But after handing the car down to our new teenage driver, she needed the bluetooth, so we installed the new stereo together! It has been years since I replaced a car stereo, but turns out it’s like riding a bike. Hope the video and accompanying instructions are easy to follow and instill confidence in your own projects. Parts utilized along with the new car stereo: • Metra Radio Install Kit part no. 99-7878B • Metra Radio Wiring Harness part no. 70-1729 • Metra Vehicle Antenna Adapter Cable part no. 40-HD11 To wire the stereo to the wiring harness, I used heat shrink connectors and a heat gun, following the instructions provided with the wiring harness and the new car stereo.
