TV EYE - "Friend zone" Friend zone or friendship zone is an expression used in modern popular culture to describe situations, i.e. the relationship between two people who are friends, one of whom wants to turn that relationship into a love relationship, and the other tries to keep it pure friendly level, which can create a series of misunderstandings and unpleasant situations. This is exactly the topic that the Zagreb r'n'r quintet TV EYE deals with in a humorous, unique way in their new single under the same name - Friend zone. The approach to this topic is, of course, given in a "masculine" way, but primarily through the prism of humor and self-irony. Given that all members of the team are already in their mature years and have some experience of male-female relationships, they do not experience such misunderstandings as melodramatic or traumatic, but as something they can only laugh at and then move on without resentment. All of this was translated into a dynamic, fierce but also danceable song with witty lyrics. TV EYE recently signed an exclusive contract with Croatia Records, and is preparing a new album, and this is the second single in a row from that upcoming release. The ensemble, known for its exciting and impressive live performances, spent the summer tour with numerous performances everywhere, which it is now turning into autumn concerts, with an upcoming performance in its native Zagreb. The video was shot in the famous Zagreb club Tvornica kulture, and directed, camera and edited by Igor Cecelja, the band's drummer. He says about this work: "Working on the new video for TV Eye was an incredibly exciting process, because I had the opportunity to combine my two passions - drums and directing. Every part, from the initial ideas to the final editing, was challenging, but also extremely creative. I wanted the video to convey the energy of our band and connect the viewer with the emotions we bring to the stage. Through the recording, we tried to maintain authenticity, not only visually, but also in sound - so that every moment looks and sounds as if you were there with us. In the end, editing was key in creating the right atmosphere and dynamics that accompany our music. Within the band, we always like to make fun of each other and ourselves, so this video is actually a product of our banter and good fun. While we were working on it, on several occasions we couldn't stop laughing because of the jokes that ended up in the final version. The video, like our band, reflects that relaxed and fun atmosphere that we like to bring to everything we do."
