A True Treasure of the Hungarian Countryside is Hollókő, it is also known as the Living Village, which is also a UNESCO World Heritage Site! If you wish to experience a traditional Hungarian Village, then Hollókő is awonderful little place and an ideal destination for you! Full of traditions, old houses and even an old Castle! The name itself Translates to the "Ravens Stone", which feels like it's a place from a Fantasy Medieval novel like Game of Thrones, and if you learn more about it's history, you'll see that it's kind of spot on. Join on us this adventure to Hollókő, a truly special place of the Hungarian Countryside hidden within the mountains of Cserhát in Nógrád County. Hollókő is a 1,5 hour car ride from Budapest, but can also be reached via Public transport: You'll need to take a train from Budapest Keleti Railway Station to Hatvan, from there switch over to trains that go to Pásztó. From there you'll need to take the Busz (Volánbusz) all the way to Hollókő.
