While the Columbia River Gorge is probably best known for the massive Columbia River, its waterfalls and lush plant life, what few know is there were several small lumber communities that once existed there. We visited two of these locations: Bridal Veil and Latourell. While the town of Bridal Veil is long gone (aside from its still functioning post office) the small community of Latourell is still in existence. While there we visited the family home of the son of the founder of the town, a home that's been abandoned for decades. urbex urbexworld urbexing urban urban exploring urban exploration urban explore explore exploring explorer adventurer adventure adventures travel traveling traveller youtube blog vlog blogging travel vlog adventure vlog urbex vlog exploration vlog urban decay urbex video urbex photography abandoned abandoned places abandoned buildings abandoned house abandoned town abandoned architecture Oregon Oregon history traveling Oregon Pacific Northwest PNW PDX nature video film history historical historical places historical places in Oregon road trip ghost town ghost towns landscape skyline blue sky searching thrill seekers Latourell Latourell Falls Guy Talbot State Park empty house Latourell family Columbia River Columbia River Gorge Columbia River Gorge Highway waterfalls passing train old buildings old houses old dance hall old school abandoned school secluded Bridal Veil Bridal Veil Falls Bridal Veil Post Office Bridal Veil Graveyard cemetery graveyard grave stones old lumber town lumber history Palmer Oregon Bridal Veil Oregon Latourell Oregon
