STEAMPUNK before Steampunk was a thing! Dr. Evermor's Sculpture Park ( Forevertron )

Today on Doodle the Travel Bug, we take our kids to Dr. Evermor's Sculpture Park in Sumpter, Wisconsin to see the Forevertron and the rest of Tom Every's (Dr. Evermor) scrape metal sculptures. The sculpture park is welded metal from carburetors, brewery equipment, train engines, and other scraped metal. When you pull up to the park, it looks like you are entering a movie set for some sort of sci-fi fantasy. The place is completely "Steampunk". It's steampunk before steampunk was even a thing! Jim's impression of it, "It looks like Tim Burton brought a junk yard to life" Tom Every sadly passed away early 2020. And through generous donations and a small gift shop, they are able to keep this amazing folk art park open for all to enjoy. The center of the park is the Forevertron! The Forevertron is the worlds largest piece of scrap metal sculpture by the Guinness Book of World Records. It weighs in at over 320 tons and is 50ft high.
