This is my Hoover Runabout Supreme upright vacuum (from 1998), model U4269-930, that I bought off eBay on Black Friday. I've been wanting to get this for a while since this was one of my childhood vacuums, and this model was once owned by my grandparents that used it as backup alongside their Hoover Encore Supreme (   • Hoover Encore Supreme U5059-930 Uprig...  ), and I've used it a couple of times, and did like it, but not as much as the Encore Supreme admittedly, but now that I'm an adult, I really love this since it is one of my childhood vacuums. This is one of the budget models of the Elite and having the Runabout name (not just for the Elite) on it was exclusive to Kmart at the time, so it's more basic and features a hose wrapped around the back of the cleaner instead of on the side like the original high-end model would come with. This model does have a hard bag equivalent, the Runabout Deluxe (   • Hoover Runabout Deluxe U5064-930 Upri...  ), and that for the most part, is the same machine despite some noticeable differences. This does come with the dual row brush roll despite not having as much high-end features which was quite a bargain for this vacuum back then given its price range, so this definitely performs much better than a lot of other Hoover cleaners sold in that price range which would normally come with single row brush rolls. It features a 7.2-amp motor with direct air design and takes Hoover Type A bags (this example is running the HEPA bags that are available but a big pricey but worth it in the filtration and increased performance). The suction is not the best (especially in tool mode), but the airflow is amazing, and the agitation is fantastic (especially since it has a dual row brush roll). My only complaints about this machine is that it's quite loud (but that's mostly by their nature) when in use and can sometimes be very vulnerable when using since it's entirely made out of plastic. Overall, I absolutely love this vacuum and is certainly better than anything Hoover makes today.
