03-08 Toyota Corolla Here is what I am working with: -Valvoline Max Life Full Synthetic ATF (9qts for flush and fill) -Duralast Transmission Filter w/Gasket part# TF17 -5/16th steel tubing (steel brake line) -3ft 3/8th rubber hose -10mm, 14mm, 9/16th sockets -Flathead screwdrivers for clip removal -Shop supplies including brake cleaner, razor blade, paper towels, shop towels, oil drain pan Purpose of transmission flush: The incorrect transmission fluid was used in drain and fill. This caused major slipping of the transmission. Do not flush your transmission if you are doing maintenance. Simply drain it and fill it back up with 3.2 quarts. Transmission flush additives may harm coatings inside the transmission voiding factory warranty and cause the transmission to slip. Transmission flush machines may force fluid through the system at too high of a pressure or in the wrong direction which can cause internal seals to tear and get bigger, or loosen debris that will become stuck somewhere else inside causing another issue. Do this at your own risk. Be safe, use jack stands. Good luck. If you do not feel confident in doing this yourself have a professional do it.
