Moog To Reel – Reprise

I enjoyed doing the last single take Moog-to-Reel so much I thought I'd give it another shot.I quite liked the mix of kick and tom sounds I got out of the DFAM and the big chords from the Subharmonicon. The patching here is a little weird: The DFAM pitch sequence is controlling the cutoff on the SubH while the SubH Sequence 1 is controlling the pitch of VCO 2 on DFAM to get the tuned toms effect. The second SubH sequence is controlling the clock of the Mother-32 which is playing a simple 4 note melody. The Mother-32 is running into the Space Echo; the SubH is going into BlueSky; and the VCO 2 of the DFAM is going into the Matriarch's delay (off screen). Everything is mixed live and recorded straight to the Akai 4000DB reel-to-reel in a single take. There is a small shift in pitch and tempo that starts at 2:50 and ends at 3:10 which is a little jarring. I'm guessing that the 50 year old reel-to-reel's drive belt might need some servicing. 🤷🏻‍♂️
