We hope you enjoy this 4k walk on a rainy day around Harrogate Town Centre. Harrogate, North Yorkshire is a historic town close to the Yorkshire Dales, and is home to Betty's Tea Rooms, the Turkish Baths, Winter Gardens and Royal Baths. We begin our walk in Harrogate town centre and end at Harrogate Tap pub at Harrogate Railway Station. Harrogate weather can be very changeable and we walk on a dramatically rainy day. On this walk we pass the town centre streets and shops, and include Bettys Tea Rooms and the Royal Baths and also the Montpellier Quarter with the Royal Pump Room Museum. Harrogate is a well known Victorian spa town and the Harrogate District is also one of the loveliest areas of England with attractive towns and villages, historic houses, castles, abbeys, beautiful countryside, lovely gardens and parks. Harrogate makes a perfect base for a day trip to Knaresborough or York (where we also have walks), and to the medieval town of Ripon and Boroughbridge, Masham and Pateley Bridge. Accommodation in Harrogate is plentiful and varied, with a choice of top hotels, B&B's and idyllic country cottages. There are many things to do in Harrogate and the Yorkshire Dales being is the doorstep, offering many adventure activities, like mountain biking, rock climbing, abseiling, or walking the fells.
