Zion National Park is one of the most beautiful places I've ever pointed a camera. But covered in fresh snow after a rare winter storm? It's something else entirely. My friend Seth lives out in southern Utah and called me a few days before to say a major storm was rolling through — the kind that doesn't happen all that often in the desert. I loaded up the truck and made the drive up from San Diego. Two days of winter, Zion in fresh snow, a sunrise at Bryce Canyon, and a hike into The Subway in full winter conditions. I wouldn't have traded it for anything.
