Is climate change threatening the iconic Dollymount Strand in Dublin? 🌊 Discover the rich history of North Bull Island and its uncertain future. North Bull Island was created after the North Bull Wall was built in the 1820s to facilitate expanding trade in Dublin Port. The island grew against the wall over the following decades. Professor Paul Rouse from UCD's School of History says rising sea levels now throws the future of the island into huge doubt. As a UCD student taking his class, you’ll not only learn about North Bull Island but also the history of public parks like Yellowstone National Park, the safari grounds on the African continent, and everything in between.
