#civil3d Hi, in this video we are going to look at how to turn on, off, and auto hide the Toolspace in Civil 3D. You all know that Toolspace is this panel that contains most of the options we can access within Civil 3D. We have the Prospector setting within Toolspace. Now I am going to show you a way to turn on, off, and auto hide Toolspace because this is our drawing area or workspace. If you want to maximize this area, which is limited by Toolspace, you can turn it off or auto hide it. To turn off Toolspace, click the Toolspace icon on the Home tab, and it will no longer be viewable, increasing your drawing area. To bring it back, click the Toolspace icon again. Turning it on and off repeatedly can be tedious, so we use the auto hide option. To do this, click the auto hide icon, and Toolspace will hide to the left of the screen. When you move your mouse over it, it will expand, allowing you to work in Toolspace, and when you move your mouse away, it will hide again. This is how you can auto hide or toggle Toolspace on and off to maximize your working area in the drawing.
