Episode 2 of my Jim Thorpe travel series! Before boarding the train, I had about 2 hours free—so I decided to explore the beautiful trail that runs right next to the railway line. I parked at the D&L parking area, walked along the trail, crossed the wooden bridge, visited Cave Falls and the Jim Thorpe Overlook Trail… and right there, the historic steam engine passed by with a loud whistle! 🚂🔥 I also captured some amazing river views, hikers, bikers, and a full outdoor adventure vibe.
