So we're up here in Turtlet California amongst the almond trees and almond mills and so forth It's really beautiful out here And we're at the Creation Lab studios We're gonna put up my old tiger guitar and the Ace Frehley Marshall and see what happens Hopefully magic All right so we're going to be tracking through this awesome 74 Super Lead Marshall Super Lead This amp is Ace Frehley's Yeah this thing has got incredible history There's been a lot of KISS tours I'm going to go ahead and use my original Tiger that I built back in the late seventies It was basically just a junk Charvel body I got from Charvel out of the dustbin before they were going to cut it up and throw it away Bought that for 20 bucks It had a number of different necks on it but guitar cost me 40 bucks to put together My friend Irv Veach and I painted it It's nitrocellulose It's all finished checked All this finish checking happened when we flew out of the country for the first time went to make our first record and tour in Europe The guitar was still wet and had it wrapped in a blanket with bungee cords in the hold of the plane and flew to Iceland and then flew to the Netherlands and then Germany All that freezing temperature caused all this cracking to happen which normally happens over 50 years of time but I was bummed at the time but now I mean it's absolutely beautiful you know the patina on this thing Got the bullet holes here in the back This guitar saved my life actually Literally And you got a Mighty Mike pickup in there These were originally wound by a number of people Red Roads Seymour Duncan did some original Mighty Mike winds It's impossible to tell who actually wound that one but you know they're really cool late seventies early eighties pickups This is the low power Mighty Mike Yeah man The tire Okay so I've got an old Charvel in my hands here This is Jake E Lee's number 2 He used this to record Lightning Strikes off of Ultimate Sin record yeah You know he's most known for his white Charvel but this one was something that he favored as well ......... I don't know Lightning Strikes by Ozzy but I know Lightning Strikes by Dokken because I wrote it .........
