"The true history of Bruce Wayne (Batman), and Dick Grayson (Robin)... how they met, and why they devoted their lives to battling crime and evil... the creation of Batman's mysterious disguise, and his secret weapons!" Side A from the 1966 Leo the Lion / MGM Records LP: "The Official Adventures of Batman and Robin" (CH-1019). Of note is the fact that this is likely the first time that Batman and Robin's origins were depicted outside of the comics. The dramatic nature of the material seems unusual given that these records were released as a means to cash in on the Batmania craze started by the campy TV series the same year. Some may recognize Jackson Beck's (narrator) voice from Popeye (Bluto), Filmation's "The New Adventures of Superman" (narrator, 1966), "G.I. Joe: A Real American Hero" (narrator - intro sequence, 1980s), and many other TV series and films.
