Jared & Shannon Leto interview w Curtis Anderson 30 Seconds to Mars

Somehow the stars aligned and I had the opportunity to slide onto the trailer and talk to the Leto brothers while 30 Seconds to Mars stopped in Saskatoon, Sk back in 2007. I don’t want to sound egotistical, but I’ve not usually nervous interviewing celebrities, I really do the work/research/practice (watch all other interviews I can find online) and try not to ask them the same questions everyone else asks. I’m usually as prepared as you can be. That being said- I was terrified to interview Jared. Everything I could find said he’s usually standoffish and cold when forced to do interviews. Anyway, I could tell he was bored after the first question or two so I stared going completely left-field with my questions and they seems to have a good time. After it was over the brothers had wide smiles. Jared thanked me and told me the interview was “a lot of fun” and patted me on the shoulder. Haha That feedback was definitely a career highlight. Pretty sure I lost 5 pounds sweating through that 10 min interview.
