ANDREW WONMACK _ The Secret the Devil Doesn’t Want You to Know- You’ve Already Got It! Andrew Wommack is one of the most influential contemporary Christian teachers and evangelists, best known for his practical, scripture-centered teachings on grace, faith, and the unconditional love of God. He is the founder of Andrew Wommack Ministries (AWM) and Charis Bible College (CBC), two global organizations dedicated to training believers to understand and apply biblical truth in their everyday lives. His ministry has profoundly shaped modern charismatic and evangelical thought, especially regarding healing, prosperity, and spiritual identity in Christ. Born on April 30, 1949, in Texas, USA, Andrew was raised in a traditional Christian home. He became a born-again believer at the age of eight but often described his early years as a period of religious routine rather than genuine relationship with God. His turning point came in March 1968, during a powerful encounter with the love of God. This experience transformed his entire understanding of Christianity. Instead of seeing God as a distant judge, Andrew discovered Him as a loving Father full of grace and compassion. That revelation became the cornerstone of his entire life’s work. From that moment, Andrew committed himself completely to studying the Bible and sharing its truths. He began preaching in small churches, home groups, and Bible studies throughout Texas and surrounding areas. Despite having no formal theological training, his deep insight into scripture and his simple, down-to-earth teaching style resonated with everyday believers. He emphasized that Christianity was not about performance or religious rituals, but about an intimate relationship with God through Jesus Christ. In 1978, Andrew and his wife Jamie Wommack officially founded Andrew Wommack Ministries (AWM) in Manitou Springs, Colorado. The ministry started as a small teaching outreach but rapidly grew due to Andrew’s radio program, “The Gospel Truth.” This broadcast, launched in 1976, became one of the most listened-to Christian radio shows in the United States and later expanded into television, reaching millions across the world. The program focused on clear and practical explanations of scripture. Andrew avoided theological jargon and preferred to teach biblical truths in simple, applicable ways. Listeners were drawn to his calm, conversational delivery and his refusal to manipulate emotions or rely on theatrics. Instead, he consistently pointed people back to the Word of God as the ultimate authority for life and faith. The television version of “The Gospel Truth” began airing in 2000, expanding his audience exponentially. It is now broadcast daily on multiple major Christian networks including Trinity Broadcasting Network (TBN), Daystar, GOD TV, and various satellite and online platforms. Through these broadcasts, Andrew’s teachings have reached every continent, inspiring countless believers to renew their minds through the Word of God. In 1994, Andrew founded Charis Bible College (CBC) in Colorado Springs. His vision was to create a school that combined strong biblical foundations with practical ministry training. Unlike many traditional seminaries, Charis emphasizes not only theological study but also personal transformation through the Holy Spirit. The college’s motto, “Transforming lives, training leaders, changing the world,” reflects this purpose. Charis Bible College has since grown into a global movement with dozens of campuses across the United States, Africa, Europe, Asia, and Latin America. Students study subjects such as grace, faith, healing, identity in Christ, and leadership, as well as practical ministry courses that prepare them for missions, teaching, and church leadership. Many graduates have gone on to establish churches, orphanages, and outreach programs worldwide. One of Andrew’s strongest convictions is that every believer is called to ministry, not just pastors or missionaries. He believes that the Word of God has the power to transform every area of life—family, work, health, and finances—and that Christians should live victoriously through the finished work of Christ. Andrew Wommack’s theology centers around a few key biblical principles: grace, faith, identity in Christ, and the authority of the believer. These themes recur throughout his sermons, books, and television programs. At the heart of Andrew’s message is the revelation that God’s love is unconditional and unearned. He teaches that believers are saved by grace through faith, not by works or moral performance. This emphasis on grace distinguishes his teaching from more legalistic forms of Christianity.
