Timestamps: 0:00 intro 0:28 normal ride 3:59 motor room 8:19 car top / lift shaft This group of lifts is situated in an office building in NRW, Germany. The building was constructed in the early 70s and has apartments on the top floor. The lifts were installed upon construction of the building by Hannover based manufacturer Hävemeier & Sander. The lifts originally had a geared DC motors with Ward-Leonhard drive. In 2019 the lifts were modded by small local company MACO. The lifts now run on ThyssenKrupp TW machines with Intec controllers by KLST and Brunner & Fecher drives. The Intec controller chosen here is one of the controllers on the market in terms of value for money. It offers many features, a special one of them being used here: The slow-travel zone. These lifts feature reduced buffer travel, hence there is a slow-travel zone at the top and the bottom of the shaft. The lifts enter the terminal floors at reduced speeds of 1m/s due to the buffers not being suited for 2m/s. Levelling is fully intelligent through CANopen communication between the controller and the drive.
