Dominion Mindset: What Dominion Means In the Bible, dominion does not mean controlling other people. It means being in charge of yourself. Your thoughts, feelings, and actions shape your life, so you are meant to guide them wisely. Fish of the Sea — Your Emotions The sea represents (subconscious) the deep part of your mind where emotions live. Fish stand for your feelings and quick reactions. Having dominion here means noticing your emotions and choosing how to respond instead of reacting without thinking. Birds of the Air — Your Thoughts Birds represent thoughts and imagination. The air is like the space of the mind. Dominion over the birds means choosing which thoughts to focus on and not letting every idea distract or confuse you. Livestock and Beasts — Your Instincts Animals stand for natural instincts, habits, and strong urges like hunger or desire. Dominion does not mean ignoring these instincts. It means guiding them in a healthy way so they become energy you can use for good things. Creeping Things — Small Habits Creeping things represent tiny habits and repeated thoughts that are easy to overlook. Dominion here means paying attention to these small patterns and changing them before they grow into bigger problems. The Earth — Your Actions The earth represents your body and daily life. Dominion over the earth means making sure your actions match what you believe. What you do on the outside should reflect what you value on the inside. The Key Boundary — No Control Over Others The Bible never tells anyone to control other people. Each person is responsible for their own inner (conversation) world. Real authority comes from self-control, not from trying to rule others.
