Day 19: Embers. With the year drawing to a close, today’s Field Note sits in a quieter place. After the time-limited experiments of the past few days, this piece returns to a more considered approach — letting the idea breathe and take shape without a clock running. Much of the composition centres around live vocals recorded directly into the OP-1 Field, processed through the new Amp synth engine, blurring the line between voice and texture. Embers comes from the idea of “dying embers” — the final warmth of something before it fades. Not an ending, just what’s left glowing at the edge. As always, this was created entirely on the Teenage Engineering OP-1 Field, captured as part of this ongoing daily practice of showing up and making something. This is Day 19. This is Embers. Welcome back to Field Notes by Cai. 🎛️ Created entirely on the OP-1 Field 🎙️ Live vocals processed through the Amp synth engine 🎶 Original composition: Embers ========== Field Notes by Cai is an independent music journal project and is not affiliated with the Field Notes® brand.
