NYC Subway: IRT Flushing Line on a Sunny Saturday

Now that spring seems to finally have arrived, I took the opportunity and captured some beautiful shots of the IRT Flushing in the sun at its outer end. This film shows some (7) trains at 111th Street, Mets–Willets Point and along the approach to Flushing just right after sunset. You can also see some (7) trains resting in the sun at Corona Yard. At 111th Street the line is constructed as a double elevated structure. The upper level is used for express service during weekdays, and the inner two tracks of the lower level lead toward the yard.
