One Year Windfoil - Windsurf Foil Experience and Crash Compilation | Andy Laufer

I still remember like it was yesterday. Conca D'Oro June 2020 on a lightwind day. Manfred Rassweiler, CEO of the Pryde Group came to me and said "Andy, I know you hate foiling but just give it a try. Just go out and try yourself"! I gave it a try and I got hooked immediately! I loved that feeling to fly over that beautiful Lago di Garda. I loved that new challenge to go fast straigt away! The problem is the same like in downhill skiing. Its super easy to go fast but to keep it under full control is the biggest challenge. That's why that clip is a kind of a Crash Compilation of the past year, especially in the beginning. There where many more fails but the clip got too long :) Finally, since about half a year I got it mostly under control. The speed was already pretty good last year, sitting in 6th position in the World Speed Ranking at the moment: https://www.gps-foilsurfing.com/defau... Especially in light and gusty winds, the foils are much faster. But I think its not only the matter of speed. Its that feeling to fly completely quiet over the water. Now working on the jibes, especially on the norrow speed jibes! I think there is lots of potential in here. And, of course that 40 knots barrier! Still a long way to go but Nico Goyard will break it soon anyway.
