Well, you wanted more talking in my videos. So here we are. No hiding. Just me, a camera bag, and a completely unnecessary amount of flying. This is Part 1 of a two-parter where I do the ridiculous loop: Melbourne to Adelaide, back to Melbourne, then up to Sydney and back again, all inside two days. The kind of schedule that makes you question your life choices somewhere between Gate 12 and a burnt airport coffee. Today’s shoot is Adelaide with Cindy. Studio light, indoor mood, and the first outing for a brand-new lens on the Fujifilm GFX50 II, the FUJIFILM GF 50mm f/3.5 R LM WR. Fresh glass. Zero emotional attachment. No idea if it’s going to sing or stab me in the back. We’ll find out together. And because I can’t leave well enough alone, I also threw in the usual film chaos. Dropped a roll of one of my current favourites, Mr Negative Same Same But Different 400, and let it do its thing. That familiar gamble. That little thrill of not knowing if you’ve nailed it or just made expensive mistakes. It was a damn good day. Cindy was a weapon, as always. And I finally caught up with Olivia, an insanely talented creative and stylist photographer, the kind of person who makes you want to lift your game just by being in the room. Part 2 is coming in the next few weeks, when I do the same madness again, Sydney in and out in a day.
