Chippewa Moraine Rec Area - Trail Run Scenery for Treadmill - Wisconsin [no music]

Join me for a "virtual run" through the Chippewa Moraine State Recreation Area, about 10 miles north of Bloomer, Wisconsin. This trail run completely exceeded my expectations. The area contains a seemingly impossible number of small and medium-sized lakes and ponds. I was there relatively early in the morning, when the sun was still a little low, and it was an absolutely gorgeous run. There's a few hills and a root or two (foreshadowing), but the trail system is quite runnable. When I was there, the mosquitoes where around, but were quite tolerable if you kept moving. The ice-age glacial sheet was starting to melt as it moved into this area over 10,000 years ago.
