US Survivor Daily Ration (SDR) 24-Hour MRE Review 🇺🇸 NEW FEMA Emergency Meal Ready To Eat Taste Test

I got my hands on a full case of the new Survivor Daily Ration. The SDR is a 24-hour meal kit developed by the Defense Logistics Agency (DLA) for use by FEMA. The Federal Emergency Management Agency stores millions of food rations meant to be issued to the American civilian population in the event of natural disasters and other emergency situations. In the past, these field rations have been very similar to a U.S. military Meal, Ready-to-Eat (MRE). The famed MRE provides a single meal, but the new SDR is designed to sustain an individual for a full day. The contents of the kit are actually quite similar to those of the Humanitarian Daily Ration (HDR). Unfortunately, each case of SDRs contains 10 meals of the same menu. So although the Survivor Daily Ration may be an upgrade from a financial and logistical standpoint, it is a downgrade when it comes to menu diversity compared to FEMA's older single meal rations produced by the likes of Sopakco and AmeriQual.
