Let it get hot. [00:23] Sauté Aromatics: Add bay leaf, shahjeera, and ginger-garlic paste. Fry the paste until the raw smell disappears. [00:47] Onions & Tomatoes: Add chopped onions and fry until golden brown. Add tomatoes and a pinch of salt to help them soften quickly. Sauté for 2 minutes. [01:14] Add Spices: Stir in red chili powder, turmeric, biryani masala, and salt. Mix well. [01:36] Cook Chicken: Add the chicken pieces to the masala and fry for about 5 minutes until the chicken is well-coated and slightly cooked. [02:09] Add Rice & Water: Add 1 bowl of washed rice. Pour in 3 to 3.5 bowls of water (roughly three times the amount of rice). Mix everything gently. [03:05] Pressure Cook: Close the lid. Let the cooker give 2 full whistles. Turn off the heat after the third whistle starts or after 5 minutes on low heat. [03:24] Serve: Let the pressure release naturally for 10 minutes.
