The appointments committee of parliament has vetted Auditor General designate, Akol Edward and the two Judges Linda Lillian Mugisha Tumusiime and Anthony Patrick Wabwire who were nominated to the industrial court. The committee has urged the new auditor general Akol Edward to first prioritizes conducting a forensic audit on treasury operations. According to members of parliament the nominee is up to the task and has acquired experience of 30 years in the office of auditor general were he came up with innovations in line with advanced technology in this field.
