In this video, I will be going through the pros and cons of the various hammocks that I use for canoe trips, backpacking, bushcraft camps and camping trips - from the basic models through to the top end sophisticated hammocks with full bug nets, storage and adjustable foot boxes and even a very clever lay-flat system. I love hammock camping, the gentle sway, the higher vantage point, being off the cold damp ground and the feeling of being cradled as I drift off to sleep. In the summer, you can take full advantage of that shady breeze and in the winter you can nestle down into your cocoon using a top quilt and under quilt to keep snug. A camping solution for all year round - all you need is a couple of trees. With so many options out there and massively varying price tags, it can be difficult to know what is good and what is not - nobody wants to feel ripped off, so hopefully, this video will help answer some questions and show you a few options that I use and can genuinely recommend.
