Welcome to my channel How to Knot and in this video, I will be showing you how to tie a handcuff knot. Typically used in general applications to limit the movement of animals. We have two adjustable non secure loops which was typically used on an animal’s legs to prevent or limit movement. This knot cannot be used handcuffs to restrain someone as the loops will slip, unless they are secured. A single or double overhand knot can be used to lock the loops into place. The handcuff knot uses in rescue situations are quite limited as they can injure a person due to the slipped loops. Start by creating a loop. Then create a second identical loop. Overlap the loops. Then pull them through each other.
