This week we run the Appalachian Approach Trail. The trail starts in Dawsonville, Georgia at Amicalola falls, the highest waterfall in Georgia. Taking hikers up to the top of Springer Mountain and the Southern Terminus of the Appalachian Trail. Possibly the famous hiking trail in the world. The Appalachian Trail (The AT) takes hikers over 2,100 miles from southern terminus at Springer Mountain to the northern terminus at Mt. Katahdin Maine. The Appalachian Approach Trail itself is considered a classic in it's own write. Offering some incredibly rugged terrain. The approach is considered one of the toughest sections on the southern AT. With many people making it a 1-2 night camping trip. Michael and I decided to tackle it in a day. Starting at Georgia's highest waterfall, Amicalola Falls. This is about a half mile north of the true trail head. But is a great way to start the trip. Enjoy the video and check out the complete guide here: https://runbryanrun.com/the-appalachi...
