BTS is a construction, much like a grammar, meant to be an "experience" for those that digest it. Mixing the age-old tradition of donning masks to embody a character, this group has taken it to the next level, turning their personae into shorthand for semiotics and memetic overlay that countless generations - present and future - will continue to reference. I don't go into as much depth as I could here, despite it being a nearly 40-minute long video! I assure you each word was carefully chosen, but me not being a professional podcaster nor pontiff, I can't guarantee that I don't wander. I will probably make more videos on the subject as the ideas come to me. What do you think? Is the act known as BTS a language in itself, carefully built from other disciplines like marketing, music, literature, etc.? Having just found out about (more) Chomskian concepts, I will likely do more in-depth research - especially in account of the man's collaborative 1988 effort "Manufacturing Consent: The Political Economy of the Mass Media". For now, maybe you should check it out?
